Landlords insurance covers a range of policy types and add-ons.
It’s vital that you are completely aware of the insurance options available to you so that your investment is protected against unforeseen circumstances.
Rest assured, Arthur Marsh strives to offer landlords insurance quotes purely based on your personal requirements. If you aren’t sure which type of landlords insurance cover you require then simply give us a call and we will provide you with all of the details you need to make an informed decision yourself.
Landlords Insurance is there to protect landlords from periods where circumstances render them unable to earn an income from their rental property. For the most part, these will likely due to a legal dispute between a landlord and a tenant.
When legal coverage makes up part of the landlords insurance policy, landlords will be fully compensated for any associated legal costs arising from the dispute.
The same applies if the tenant leaves the property in a considerably damaged state. The landlord’s insurance policy will cover the repair costs and, usually, the ensuing loss of earnings caused by the property being un-tenanted during the repair process.
Before accepting a landlords insurance quote, read the small print…
As with any other type of insurance policy, you should always endeavour to check before accepting your landlords insurance quote that you are covered for most eventualities. A landlord’s insurance policy should not just protect the landlord from damage caused to the property but also protect the landlord from legal disputes with the tenant.
Comprehensive landlords insurance protects landlords from most situations other than the ones deliberately excluded. This is known as an ‘All Risks’ policy. On the other side of the coin, ‘Peril Policies’ will usually provide less protection where damage is concerned and will only list the losses that are actually covered by the specific landlord’s insurance policy.
Arthur Marsh can work with you to ensure that you get the maximum amount of insurance for your money and that your business stays protected. Our aim is to reduce the risk to landlords by offering advice and guidance to choose a policy and insurer who can deal with your claims fairly and quickly.
